More A380 service to LAX lately.......

Seems that Qantas is increasing its A380 service from three per week to four per week into LAX. The new service adds another 380 on thr route with service being added on Sunday which complements the already usual Monday.....Wednesday......Friday schedule of the beast.
While LAX only sees the Whalejet fly in from Sydney on the four days, Qantas flys the 380 in from Melbourne on Wednesday which gives the public two chances to catch this beauty glide over in the morning. There is rumor that once Qantas recieves its fifth and sixth superjumbo, the SYD--LAX route will go daily and the melbourne frequencies will be increased as well seeing that the public seems to enjoy this particular aircraft on such an extensive route.
The ability of being able to walk around in such a spacious cabin layout would certainly please any passenger in my opinion. We'll just have to wait and see if these frequency increases take into effect anytime soon

Front row seat to the best show on earth!!!!

.......... A friend of mine said I should create a blog about my airport job and experiences that I have .............. so why not!!!

So...... I recently got what I consider (right now at least) to be my DREAM JOB!!! I am working at LAX for Spirit Airlines............... yes I get paid to hang around at an airport and be near airplanes for five hours in the evening!! Could it get any better!!!

It has already been a month since I started the job and I LOVE IT!!!! The people I work with are some of the best and nicest group of guys and girls I have ever worked with. It is a love of fun to be around people whom you can respect for what they do and for the responsibilities they have every day. Hopefully soon I will be in their shoes setting an example for fellow employees.

The best part of my job is definitely meeting a flight as it arrives into the gate. I was with another person last night around 1AM as a 737 taxiied into the gate area. At 1am LAX is strangely quiet with not a lot of activity going on so its nice to just stand at the edge of the jetbridge and just listen to your thoughts....... soon however that silence is abruptly brought to a close when the aircraft approaches with the left engine SCREAMING............ just feet to go........ and its in....... the jetway creeps closer to the aircraft and then the screaming engine is shut down............ the door opens...............the people eit and boom another flight is complete. Captains walk out.....hand over any paperwork...... and its just you and 130 millions dollars of airplane.

By far......... the best seat to the best show on earth.
